Ranch Road

     This is a backwood's Florida scene. Some people think of Florida as just a beach, but we have some beautiful areas inland. This is Adam's Ranch west of Fort Pierce. Once a year, Heathcote Botanical Garden's host an artist day out at the ranch. It's a fantastic opportunity to go out and experience what Florida used to be like. Though I do paint while I'm there, I also take some time to hike around enjoying the abundant fauna and flora. I always take lots of photos and have built up quite a library for future paintings. This 6 x 8 inch painting is one that I will submit to the gallery show for the 'less than 12 inch' requirement that I mentioned in yesterday's post.
