Red Hibiscus Mosaic

     I started this a couple of weeks ago at the same workshop that I made the collage, Sunrise, posted earlier. I finished painting the grout today with acrylics. This fun workshop took place at Heathcote Botanical Gardens. The mosaic project was led by Anita Prentice, a very successful artist from Fort Pierce. I always admired  Anita's work, but now I have an increased appreciation for the work and expertise involved in these mosaics. It's great fun though, kind of like being in elementary art class and losing all your inhibitions that you've acquired about art by the time you're an adult.
