Red Mangrove

     As promised, I have returned to painting with oils. I'm working on a few small paintings to submit to a local gallery show that specifies all artwork must be 12 inches or less, framed. I actually enjoy painting on this small scale, and it certainly makes it easier to complete a painting a day. I have to admit though, this one took me 3 days because I was allowing some layers to dry. I did this painting from a photo taken while kayaking across the Indian River from my home.
