The Last Oranges
I love the 11 x 14 inch size of this painting. A friend, Mary Sanchez told me that I should paint the disappearing citrus trees here on the Treasure Coast. Citrus groves, once a thriving industry in Florida, are dwindling due to development and widespread citrus greening disease. One could interpret the name of this painting as the last oranges of the season or worse, the last oranges period.

Julie, I really enjoy this painting. I think because you did such a nice job of the oranges, but especially because of their placement in the foreground. It's so much fun to visit your blog and see such frequent postings. I'm never disappointed!
