I started this 8 x 10 oil on canvas a month or so ago plein air with Lori McNamara's Tuesday painting group. At the time, I found painting the boats pretty frustrating and eventually abandoned it. The day we were painting there was a lot of loud construction taking place all around us, adding to my frustration. Yesterday I pulled the painting out and finished it. I was pleased that it turned out much better than I had anticipated. So, for all you boat people out there, here is one for you. I may not do any more of them for a while!
