Down 2nd Street

     Last week I participated in  "Souvenirs of Downtown," a plein air event sponsored by Main Street Fort Pierce to raise money for the renovation of the Backus House, former home of noted artist A.E. 'Bean' Backus. 22 artists from around Florida painted like heck for 3 days, producing something like 90 paintings and selling 30 of them to the public. I hid out on the outskirts of the allowed painting area the first day, but on the 2nd, I planted my gear right smack in the middle of our downtown and painted the above scene. You know what they say,  you oughta do something everyday that scares you. So.......I did it.
